5. October 31st, 1926, yes Halloween! Harry Houdini died. Supposedly his cause of death was complications from a routine surgery. Several days later it was reported that disgruntled spirit mediums angry about his defaming them were the ones that killed him. As one very famous author and spiritualist stated in a letter he wrote to him that he would “get his just desserts very exactly meted out. … I think there is a general payday coming soon.” The author of that letter to Houdini was also the author of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries and his name was Sir. Arthur Conan Doyle.

1. Two art thieves, disguised as police officers lied to security guards at the Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and gained access into it in
the middle of the night. They left with 13 paintings valued at $500 million dollars,
there are no clues about their identity.

2. December 31st, 2010 - 5000 black birds started slamming into building, breaking windows and dying instantly in the air. According to officials in Arkansas where this happened, they blamed the fireworks that must have startled the birds.
December 31st, 2011 (the following year) Despite the fireworks ban, 200 birds
were reported dead. There were no significant reports of bird deaths any other time including the 4th of July.

3. In 1993 the residents of Taos in New Mexico complained to Congress about a low hum they were hearing. Some think it’s military experiments while others think there is a natural explanation.

4. August 8th, 1974 President Richard Nixon resigned from the presidency pending the Watergate scandal. There were recordings made in the oval office that were revealed but somehow 18 and ½ minutes have been misplaced. What was in those 18 ½ minutes?
